This is the archetypal Prestige helmet. An alliance of the technology of carbon (ten times more resistant and eleven times lighter than steel) and of the nobility of leather, entirely hand-made to order. The top luxury version of the GPA range. Removable, washable and interchangeable head liner.
Central front air inlet in a light alloy of titanium and aluminium with 4 vents. This patented system with a double air flow provides internal ventilation as well as keeping down the temperature.
Spherical all-carbon outer shell with glossy finish. Coating of stratified carbon fibre. GPA signature on the front.
Chin strap : nylon strap with a fast self-locking buckle (dual-lock) and an anatomically designed foam pad. Fitted to the back band. Anatomically designed nape protector with 2 ventilation slits. With the same soft covering material as the outer shell, over polyethylene foam. Finish: saddle stitching.
Inner shell lining in high-tech high-density polystyrene. Ergonomic shape ensuring real comfort and the excellent “retention” of the helmet. Cut-outs at the air inlets. The incoming air is channeled through the grooved structure of the inner shell and evacuated through 2 vents at the back. This ventilation system (tested in a wind machine) adds to the real comfort of the rider and eliminates the unpleasant effects of the sweating and heating of the scalp.
Head liner in “aerated” foam covered by high-tech antibacterial fabric. Ideal balance between the helmet?s inner volume and the volume of the outer shell which creates a perfect aesthetic harmony whatever the shape of the head. Made up of 4 independent parts (front, central, right and left), this washable liner is removable and can be replaced or adapted.

AR 122 – Jockey Helmet lifespan (As of Jan 1, 2021)
Following consultation with Principal Racing Authorities and industry bodies, Racing Australia has approved amendments to AR 122 to vary the lifespan of a rider’s helmet from 5 years from manufacture date to 5 years from purchase date or 8 years from manufacture date (whichever is earlier).
It is important to note the rule change does not increase the maximum allowable period of helmet use by a rider – it is still 5 years.
Under the revised rule, riders will be required to maintain evidence (e.g. receipt) of the date of helmet purchase and provide such evidence to Stewards as required.
